New T-Shirt!

This image is now available as a shirt from John F Kelly's t-shirt company, SockMaakies. He specializes in shirts featuring art by cartoonists. I'm happy to be working with him.

LineWork NorthWest

LineWork NorthWest is a new, exciting indy comics show that's happening in Portland, Oregon. I won't be making it to the first one, but some of my publications will be featured at the Gridlords table alongside some of my favorite artists/people. Check out the beautiful poster by Sean Christensen!

The Alternative Library, Bellingham

The Alternative Library in Bellingham, Washington is up to all kinds of great stuff. And look! They carry a bunch of my work in their shop. When my newest comics finally come out, I'm hoping to pay them a visit and do an event.

Want to read a comic?

I don't usually put up entire comics on the internet, but now you can read my story, Norman Eight's Left Arm over at Great Comic Book Hero's. It's from my long out of print 2009 comic, Sleeper Car. It was also included in Best American Comics 2010.

Pittsburgh City Paper

Nice little feature about my Toonseum show and PIX!

Toonseum show, on display through April 30th!

My trip to Pittsburgh was wonderful! I'll write more about it soon. In the meantime, here's a photo of the poster for my solo show at the Toonseum (Pittsburgh's own Cartoon Art Museum) and the outside exterior. Huge thanks to everyone who came out to the show opening. I had so many great conversations.

PIX, The Toonseum, and The Understanding Monster.

I'm gearing up to fly out to Pittsburgh! I'll be there for the opening of my solo show at the Toonseum on Friday the 21st, then exhibiting my work at PIX all day on Saturday the 22nd. That evening, I'll be doing a slide show reading from my yet to be released book, The Understanding Monster, book two. You can check out the itinerary for the whole weekend HERE. It's going to be a good time!

OH!

I drew this this other night right before bed. Just a little something I needed to let out so I could sleep better.

Comix issue, reality

Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate and to everyone who made comics for the first ever comix issue. I'm really impressed with the Missoula Independent for putting this together. Extra huge thanks to Skylar Browning and Josh Quick for making it a reality. This spread from the comix issue features work from Eric Carlson, Courtney Blazon and Lauren Tyler Norby.

The Missoula Independent Comix Issue

The Missoula independent Comix Issue is here! I drew the cover and made a half page comic for it. As I was hoping, a lot of strong talent stepped up and created some unexpected and inspiring work for for it. It's really impressive that the Indy wanted to do this project and I'm thrilled that I got to be involved. Friday night, there will be a one night only art show at the Zootown Arts Community Center. I hope a lot of people will come out to celebrate!
