off to ArtFest

I've been so busy lately that most of my friends are beginning to think that I'm actually imaginary. Tomorrow I'll be heading north by train, then by car, then ferry, then car again up to Port Townsend, Washington to teach 2 full days of drawing workshops. It's been a crazy time getting prepared. I got inspired to create a whole zine of Imaginary Homework for my students to take home (I tried to stop myself, but it happened anyways). I screen printed the covers, like a madman, in my basement this morning. When I get home, I'll probably make more copies, so more people can read it. Now I just need to pack my bags so that I'm actually ready to leave tomorrow!!

  1. Oh Theo!!! I want to do homework for you!! Please tell us you will sell these to the folks who can't travel by train, then by car, then by ferry, then by car again to attend a Teesha & Tracy Moore Artfest Workshop. Please?? Have a great time. Sharon

  2. Your drawings make clear evidence that although you have a giant imagination, you are not imaginary; it is conceivable that it is the rest of us out here in cyberspace who are only imaginary ? It could be that a large computer somewhere has invented us all and has us send you random comments in response to your words... something like those infinite monkeys with typewriters who will one day produce a Shakespeare play... Can't wait to hear more about the workshop...

  5. thanks for being a madman and making imaginary homework, I had a good time in your class and love the homework. It's quite funny that someone thought you were serious about your homework and thought that people were making fun of you.

  6. Hi Theo!

I didn't get to take your classes at Artfest, but I did get to meet you on Vendor Night and came away with a fantastic copy of your book with an amazing "Theo Doodle" inside! Your book and your imagination kept me busy on the plane ride home yesterday and I loved the land it took me too!

I can't wait for next year's Artfest and hope to see you there again (tell Teesha and Tracy you already have at least one student lined up!)

Thank you so much for sharing what you do with all of us...I love your art!

  7. I never in my life thought I would ever say this, but here goes:
YES! Give me homework! I want homework. I NEED homework. My life will be incomplete without homework. PLEASE!!!! Send me homework and I'll send you a sea monster. Not just any sea monster... a one-eyed, five tentacled, multi-talented sea monster, I swear. Yours to cuddle, hug and wear on your head.
